Settling into my new job, I'm getting inspiration for new posts about backend architecture. The questionable maintainability of the service codebases I've seen inspired my post on designing backend routes.
I can now say that I've used nearly every Python web framework out there in production, and the issues I mention in this post are ones that I've seen in one form or the other within every framework except FastAPI. The post isn't about FastAPI specifically, just wanted to give it a shoutout for enforcing good design out of the box.
Hope you're all enjoying your summer as much as I am! Been on vacation for a couple of weeks now, and I made some time to write this before getting back to work ✌️.
